Acara is a Board-Certified mental health nurse practitioner who is adept at providing care that is patient-focused. She specializes in assessing, diagnosing, and treating adolescents and adults/geriatric clients with various mental health conditions. These conditions include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and schizoaffective disorders. Acara employs a collaborative approach to psychiatric medication management as she tailors treatment plans to each patient’s condition. She also incorporates other treatment modalities such as psychotherapy and dietary modifications to further empower her patients during their mental health journey. Clients can thus expect to leave each session with the reassurance that they have received sound clinical advice based on proven best practices in mental health care. Clients can also expect to leave each session with more clarity and insight into their conditions and their treatment plans.
From an early age, Acara possessed a profound empathy for others’ struggles. This innate passion for helping others led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree followed by a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in psychiatric mental health. She regularly cared for psychiatric patients at major hospitals in Dallas-Fort Worth, and she continues to expand her knowledge and expertise through ongoing training and certification.
